Flight of Pegasus

~Flight of Pegasus~
Watch
The Elven runner
Slip through the trees
Like a shadow
in the moonlight
She never stops
but leaps high
as if to take flight
Grabs onto silky threads
takes her seat
just fore of the wings
The obsidian steed
gallops towards a cliff
head dancing
hooves sparking
They drop from sight
Elf and Pegasus
!
Gather at the cliffside
peer out into the valley
gasp as I do
when they reappear
higher than we are
Soaring towards the moon
that sits like a crescent beacon
for the travelers
