Medusa's Stones

Everything she touches
ceases to be
Everything she loves
turns to stone
She keeps them in her garden
to remind her of love
Their faces once flesh
now are but cold stone
They loved her deeply
she turned them away
All of them in pain
and unforgiving
This garden
of Medusa's Stones
It sits in a valley
of the darkest desires
No one left to touch
no one left to burn
She hates the world
and it hates her in return
Ruining men's lives
and destroying sacred vowes
Her beauty is grand
but her heart is frozen
Time may heal all
but it cannot warm her heart
I speak from experience
all from the heart
As I lay here cold and gray
another of Medusa's Stones
~end~
