~Epithany~
~Epiphany~ The man wandered within Her forest Lost and wounded. Forgotten by his own His strength left him eventually and he fell into a troubled rest The humans fought Her kind tooth and nail blood and bone While the Fae had their magics and the forest on their side The mortals used wizards and terrible monsters to turn the tide In the end the Fae and their queen won the war The scars ran deep and would keep the memories long in the minds of human and Elves and faeries As he slept He dreamed Of a lovely female it seemed who was linked to a tree so brilliant it hurt to gaze upon it, question his worth The terrible and wonderous voice spoke He trembled even as he slept felt himself choke back tears of remorse, regret, sorrow and fear His race had tried to end all this creature held dear In his last sleeping moment he knew He could never go back to man's land, to you your conquering ways your disregard Until his last breath for Her he would stand guard ~End~
