She stands alone
Elegant, Ancient, Refined
Elves sought her
For Centuries untold
Dreaming their lives
under her boughs
She Remembers them
When they're gone

She is honored
By all creatures
Beloved sentinal tree
Over cherished forest
Keeper of all
our memories past

The Remembrance Tree
has many names
All Knowing Mother
The First Tree
Giver of Life
We praise them
With epic songs,
Ballads that teach
Our children how
To dream their
lives for her

We hang symbols
of our wishes
on her branches
each one carries
small pieces of
our lives, hoping
they'll be granted
~~
The remembrance tree
Is our symbol
Our lives complete
Beneath the branches
of her offspring
Our forest home
